Don has over 33 years in a wide variety of interests.

Early in his career Don helped develop food supply chains in the newly formed country of Russia, and other Baltic states.

Don helped pioneer the trade of fresh protein via sea freight, and sourcing programs for the worlds largest restaurant chain.

Always having a passion for disruptive technologies, Don helped to develop the use of 3D printing in space exploration, medical research, and other industries. Along this line Don also worked to implement the use of superhydrophobic materials in diverse products, from energy to consumer goods.

Never leaving the food industry, Don was one of the first in Canada to help build commercial land based salmon aquaculture, and aquaponics.

His focus on sustainability again aligned to be a part of CasusGrill, the world’s only carbon neutral and 100% biodegradable barbecue.

Utilizing his passions for sustainability, and seafood, Don has played an integral role on the Gindara Sablefish team, helping build its foundation, values, and recognition around the world.

You can usually find Don near his barn, tending to the farm animals, restoring pinball machines, or helping care for the sick and senior pets surrendered to them, as part of his family’s passion.
